Dr Anne Coker gained her MBChB from Dundee University in 1984. She passed the MRCGP with Merit. She divides her working time between General practice and work as a General Practitioner with Special Interest (GPwSI) in Neurology in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee(latter since 2005), with an emphasis on Headache and First Seizures.
She was a member of the guideline group which developed the SIGN Guidelines for Headache, published in 2008.
In conjunction with a principal clinical pharmacist, she developed the Tayside Area Prescribing Guide for Migraine in June 2009.
She was on the General Neurology as well as the Epilepsy sub-group committee of the Neurology Quality Improvement Scotland which developed Clinical standards for Neurological Health services in Scotland, published in October 2009.
She is a member of Tayside Neurology Access group for the purposes of establishing Disease Specific Pathways in Neurology for use in Primary and Secondary Care.
She is a member of the British Association for the study of Headache and the International Headache Society.
